CEDAW is the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, also called the International Bill of Rights for Women. For decades, WRC has been coordinating the production of the Shadow Report through consultation with hundreds of women’s organisations across the UK. This report provides an accurate and true account of the status of women’s rights in the UK and is submitted to the monitoring body (the Committee) of CEDAW. This is an abridged version of the Shadow Report that adheres to the Committee’s word count.

This report is produced by WRC and is the result of the collection of evidence and collaboration between women’s organisations in the UK (see report for list).
